I. Talents and Elites: The Institute has more than 500 full-time employees, leaded by Dr. JIANG Laizhu as the president and industry experts as department heads and chief engineers. It has cooperated with universities such as Fudan University, Beijing Central Iron and Steel Research Institute, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Hefei General Machinery Research Institute, and Fuzhou University in industry research.

Focusing on R&D Guarantee: The Institute has accumulatively invested more than 50 million CNY in equipments and more than 63 million CNY in research & development, and has acquired more than 80 (sets of) analytical testing instruments for electronic probe analysis, metallographic analysis, salt spray test, mechanical analysis, and atomic absorption, etc.

III. Fruitful Achievements by Innovation: The Institute has more than 200 self-developed patents, and has undertaken two major technical research and industrialization projects in Fujian Province, and has led the compilation of the two group researches “Welded Austenitic Stainless Steel Tubes for Decoration" and "Group Standard for Cold-rolled Austenitic Stainless Steel Decorative Sheets”; the number of the newly developed product grades increases from 15 in 2015 to 39 in 2018, and the production output rises from 75,200 tons to 397,100 tons. The steelmaking and hot-rolled strips of 304 stainless steel have dropped from 2.69% and 3.70% in 2015 to 0.14% and 1.77% in 2018 respectively, the product quality has reached the domestic advanced level in the two areas of deep-drawn products and 8K panels. In 2018, the Institute launched the world's first high-nitrogen, high corrosion-resistant, high-strength nickel-saving austenitic stainless steel—304D, which is a major innovation following the RKEF+AOD process in the history of stainless steel development.

In November 2019, Tsingtuo Group Co., Ltd. launched the world's first high-strength nitrogen-containing austenitic stainless steel,08Cr19Mn6Ni3Cu2N (QN1803), which is highly recognized and praised by the consumers for its high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. It has been successfully applied in the six major areas including plates & strips, decorative welded pipes, steel wire rods, steel bars, and seamless tube billets, which is a great research result achieved by Tsingtuo Research Institute recently.

Under the guidance of the professional team of the Institute of Information Standardization of Metallurgical Industry, Tsingtuo Group Research Institute, together with Fujian Haili Technology Co., Ltd., Fujian Hongwang Industrial Co., Ltd., Guangdong Shuangxing New Material Group Co., Ltd., Foshan Taiyuda Steel Group Co., Ltd. , Jiangyin Xiangrui Stainless Steel Fine Wire Co., Ltd., Aozhan Industrial Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Dongming Stainless Steel Products, and Zhejiang Tsingshan Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. and other strategic partners in the industrial chain, prepared six product standards for high-strength nitrogen-containing austenitic stainless steel 08Cr19Mn6Ni3Cu2N (QN1803) steel plates and strips, decorative welded pipes, wire rods, steel bars, section steel and seamless tube blanks. Such standards have been adopted by the expert meeting of the Professional Standardization Technical Committee of China Iron and Steel Association, and passed the examination by the centralized management unit for technical standardization, and approved by the China Iron and Steel Industry Association as The Standard Groups.

The world's first high-strength nitrogen-containing austenitic stainless steel 08Cr19Mn6Ni3Cu2N (QN1803) product has become a member of the standard group of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association. It is a milestone for both Tsingtuo Group and downstream markets and consumers.

Formerly known as the R&D Center of Guangdong Guangqing Metal Technology Co., Ltd., Guangqing Research Institute was established in May 2012. In April 2019, the Guangdong Provincial High-end Stainless Steel Research Institute was established upon approval by the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department. With the qualification of independent legal entity, it has more vitality in organization management, research and other aspects, It is a modern technical service company integrating analysis and testing, research and development, and technical consulting, covering an area of 2975 square meters and equipped with more than 100 (sets of) professional testing equipment such as scanning electron microscope, inductive coupling, ion emission spectrometer, atomic absorption spectrometer, and carbon and sulfur analyzer. There are 109 technical personnel in the Research Institute, including 57 scientific researchers accounting for 52% of the total number, and most of them are graduates from well-known universities in the fields of metallurgy and materials. After years of practice and experience in the frontline of production and scientific research in iron and steel enterprises, they have now become a professional team with strong technical strength and excellent ideological quality.

Guangqing Research Institute values scientific research and innovation, and regards innovative drive as an endogenous force for growth in a beneficial way. Since the establishment, it has constantly generated more researches on new processes and new products. The Institute has now successfully devised a number of provincial-level R&D and innovation platforms such as “New R & D Institution of Guangdong High-end Stainless Steel Research Institute Co., Ltd.", "Guangdong Provincial Enterprise Technology Center", "Guangdong New Metallurgical Materials Engineering Technology Research Center", "Guangdong Key Laboratory of High Quality Stainless Steel Technology R&D Enterprise", and "Guangdong Doctoral Workstation". In recent years, the Institute performs continuous research on smelting, rolling, solid solution, pickling and other stainless steel production techniques to continuously improve the product quality of 200 series, 300 series, and 400 series stainless steel coils; at the present stage, the ratio of first-grade hot and cold raw materials remains above 97%, which is highly recognized by cold rolling customers and end-customers such as Baoxin, Yongjin, Hongwang, etc.. The Institute has successively developed and produced nearly 20 new steel types and special products such as 410S, 430, 310S, 316L, 321, etc.

Guangqing Research Institute attaches values to the cooperation with universities, and is currently in relationship with the Central South University, the University of Science and Technology Beijing, the Changsha University of Science and Technology, the Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and the Metallurgical Industry Planning & Research Institute in fundamental research on smelting and rolling, new product development, and quality improvement and smelting slag treatment of ferronickel and stainless steel. Relevant scientific research projects have achieved remarkable results, and many projects have received national, provincial and municipal science and technology awards, of which the project “Key Techniques on Ferronickel Smelting from Laterite Nickel Ore & Value-added Utilization of Smelting Slag and Their Application” implemented in cooperation with Central South University won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019. The Institute has accumulatively applied for more than 50 issued patents and published more than 30 papers.

Special Steel Research Institute of Ruipu Technology, established in 2012, is one of the first group of provincial key enterprise research institutes approved in Zhejiang Province. It is committed to the research and development of new processes and new materials for stainless steel rods and wires. The Institute covers an area of about 2,100 square meters and has a research and development team of 58 people, including 6 doctoral candidates, 9 senior engineers, 15 intermediate engineers, and many undergraduates and R&D assistants. It covers all aspects of materials science and engineering with strong research and development strength. The staffs span three generations, of which the proportion of young and middle-aged staffs is more than 90%. Young researchers inject vitality and continuous innovation into the Research Institute.

The research institute is serving as the foundation for creating multiple platforms for innovations. The facilities includes one CNAS national laboratory, one provincial post-doctoral workstation, one innovation team under the "Provincial Thousand Talents Plan", one titled with "young scientist", one municipal academician workstation, one municipal doctoral workstation, and one key enterprise entrepreneurial innovation team of Lishui City.
